Service Description
This is a private group workshop for Kelsi. Learn how to make your own gorgeous epoxy resin serving board and coaster set with Starfish Studios. Great range of colours to choose from to make your own designs. Michele has been using resin for over 15 years in a range of applications - learn tips and tricks to make your own beautiful board and coaster duo. Instructions and guidance to help you learn the process for epoxy resin creative work. The workshop includes instruction in the preparation of the board and coasters. Learn how to mix resin and colours and techniques for blending. The colour range is extensive so you can choose your own vibe. The workshop is held at Starfish Studios in 207 McIntosh Road in Brighton, Dunedin. There is a sign on the gate and a big blue shearing shed door. It is a rustic work studio. Whats included: One serving acacia board Set of two coasters Premium epoxy resin to mix Selection of beautiful colour pigment paints and alcohol inks, glitters What you need to bring: Casual clothes and shoes - aprons and gloves will be provided but resin is messy and it is very very hard to remove from your clothes or shoes. The Studio is warm for the resin so wearing layers of clothing is a good idea. Aprons are provided. A great fun attitude to get creative. Light refreshments will be available. The class is limited to 8 participants. Timeline: 11.15 am Doors open to gallery studio 11.30 am - Introduction and overview of the equipment and workshop, health and safety using resin. How to prepare your workstation and projects Mixing resin and adding colours Making and creating - mixing, pouring, blending. Using different blending techniques Finishing your projects Clean up and finish. Light refreshments and nibbles and chance to chat. Boards will be available for collection or delivery after 5-7 days to allow for full cure of resin. You can buy the mini starter kit if you would like to do a little more resin crafting at home after the workshop. This is available for purchase on my website for $35.00.
